This course reviews the duties and responsibilities of the county sheriff using the Handbook for County Sheriffs of Oklahoma as the text. This course includes short lectures provided by guest speakers who are experts in the field of law enforcement, and other educated professionals within county government. This class encourages "round table" discussion of the day-to-day operations of the sheriff's office and how to meet the requirements of the law while still providing service to the citizens.
