Introduction to County Purchasing Procedures

This course is an introduction to the Oklahoma County Purchasing Act. You will review the roles and responsibilities of all elected county officials and purchasing officers. This course examines the procedures as required in Title 19 (the County Purchasing Act) and in Title 61 (competitive bidding). You will also explore inventory disposal.

You have successfully registered for online training. You have sixty days (60) to complete the class once you begin.

Click on "Introduction to Purchasing", click on Enroll.
If you have not taken an online class before you will need to set up a new account for Canvas training. This is different from your CTP account.
A full name and unique email address must be provided by each individual taking the class. Email addresses may not be shared for online training.
Log in, when prompted, using the PUBLIC log in option.

The County Training Program will email you an invoice for the $40 class fee at a later date.
"The courses are interactive. You will need to use your mouse and keyboard to answer questions, continue, etc.
" The courses take approximately 3 hours to complete, but you have 60 days to work on them.
" You can use a phone, but a computer makes it easier to see and access everything.
" If you do use a phone, the Canvas Student app is recommended.
" The "How to Succeed" activity is recommended to those new to e-learning, It is located in the initial "Start Here" module.
