This two-day course is designed to provide you with knowledge of fundamental financial concepts (approximately 50% of the course). You will learn the concepts of capital structure, risk and reward, returns to capital, compounding, discounting, annuities, and sinking funds. This course also explores the duties and responsibilities of county government regarding investments, judgments, and bonded indebtedness, including calculation of interest and mill rates. You will learn through hands-on exercises to give you practical experience and to reinforce the material.
