Understanding the Whole of County Government

This course reviews the primary functions of county government and the duties and responsibilities of elected and nonelected officials in carrying out those functions. You will learn the roles of all the county departments and how those departments interact with each other as a team in providing services to the public.

You have successfully registered for online training. You have sixty (60) days to complete the class once you begin. To access the class, go to https://learn.extension.okstate.edu *Click on "Understanding the Whole of County Government." *Click on Enroll. (If you have not taken an online class before you will need to set up a new account for Canvas training. This is different from your CTP account.) *A full name and unique email address must be provided by each individual taking the class. Email addresses may not be shared for online training. *Log in, when prompted, using the PUBLIC log in option. *At checkout enter the PROMO CODE R2P6Z9. The County Training Program will email you an invoice for the $40 class fee at a later date. The class seems to work best with the Google Chrome browser but will likely work with Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge. Be sure you are using an updated browser. " The courses are interactive. You will need to use your mouse and keyboard to answer questions, continue, etc. " The courses take approximately 3 hours to complete, but you have 60 days to work on them. " You can use a phone, but a computer makes it easier to see and access everything. " If you do use a phone, the Canvas Student app is recommended. " The "How to Succeed" activity is recommended to those new to e-learning, It is located in the initial "Start Here" module.
