This course is designed to review the duties and responsibilities of the County Clerk using the County Clerk's Handbook as the text. Topics from the text will include Governmental Tort Act; Office of the County Clerk; General Duties; Boards, Meetings, Publications & Notices; and Budgets. This course includes short lectures provided by County Clerks and deputies, small group discussions of prepared questions, and issues that arise during the course of the discussion. This is course is designed to encourage "round table" discussion of the day-to-day operations of the clerk's office and how to meet the requirements of the law while still providing service to the citizens.
