This class details the responsibilities of the Purchasing Agent as set forth in the Oklahoma Statutes. It includes the different responsibilities of county elected officials, requisitioning officers, receiving and inventory officers and state agencies as defined in the county purchasing act. A detailed presentation of the procurement methods under Title 19 and Title 61 for county government provide insight for the development of policies and procedures. On occasion, guest speakers from state or federal agencies provide added value to the class on different topics as they relate to county purchasing policies.
